Frequently asked questions
About the FT 90
How does it differ from the FT 65 and FT 09?
The FT 90 measures without contact from 2–3 cm, also reads room temperature and stores 60 readings. The FT 65 measures in the ear or on the forehead by contact in 1 second or less and stores 10. The FT 09 is a classic digital thermometer used in the mouth, under the arm or rectally.
Who decides if the temperature is high?
The thermometer only measures; the sad smiley means the reading is 38 °C or more. The doctor assesses the reading and decides what is needed.
What batteries does it use, and how long do they last?
Two ordinary AAA batteries (LR03), good for approx. 3000 measurements. The illumination and sound shorten battery life a little.
How do I measure correctly?
Hold the thermometer 2–3 cm from the forehead without touching it, and use it where the room is between 10 and 40 °C. Keep the thermometer in the same room for at least 30 minutes before measuring.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the sensor after each use with a cotton bud or cloth moistened with 70% alcohol, and the body with a cloth and mild soapy water. Never let liquid get inside.

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, if it is unused, complete with its accessories and in its original packaging. If it arrives defective or different from your order, we replace it or refund it in full. Masks, tubing and any items that contact the patient cannot be returned once opened, for hygiene reasons. Return shipping is on us for a defect or a wrong item; otherwise the customer pays it, unless a free-shipping offer applies.
