The two numbers that matter in any syringe pump: accuracy and flow rate. ±2% accuracy means the volume actually delivered stays within 2% of what was set. Flow rate in ml/h is how many millilitres go in per hour; the SP1 covers 0.1 to 1500 ml/h. The occlusion level is the pressure at which the pump stops and alarms if the line is blocked.

About the BeneFusion SP1
What is the difference between the SP1 and the SP3?
Both are ≤ ±2% accurate. The SP3 adds a drug library of up to 200 drugs, 9 infusion modes instead of rate mode only, flow up to 2000 ml/h in 0.01 ml/h steps, 14 occlusion levels instead of 3, and a 2000-record log. The SP1 is simpler to run.
Who sets the dose and rate?
The physician prescribes the drug and rate, and a trained nurse enters them on the pump. The keypad lock prevents accidental changes after setup.
Does it take any syringe?
It takes 5, 10, 20, 30 and 50/60 ml syringes and recognises the size by itself. Use a syringe the pump is set up for; order any spare part from customer service on 01212333328.
Does it run on mains or battery?
Both. It runs on 100–240 V mains; if the power goes, the battery gives at least 6 hours at 5 ml/h, and the pump alarms when mains is disconnected or the battery runs low.
What happens if the line is blocked?
The pump measures pressure continuously; when it reaches the set occlusion level (300, 525 or 900 mmHg) it stops and alarms, and it reduces the unexpected bolus that could follow once the blockage clears.

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, if it is unused, complete with its accessories and in its original packaging. Return shipping is on us for a defect or a wrong item; otherwise the customer pays it, unless a free-shipping offer applies.
