About the EM 49
What is the difference between TENS, EMS and massage?
TENS stimulates the nerves with gentle pulses, EMS makes the muscles contract, and massage uses pulses that feel like a massage. The unit has all three; choose the program your physiotherapist recommends.
Who sets the program and the session length?
The doctor or physiotherapist. The unit allows sessions of 5 to 100 minutes and an intensity of 0 to 50, raised gradually.
Who should not use it?
Not with any implanted electrical device such as a pacemaker, and not during pregnancy. Never place the electrodes near the heart, on the neck or the head, and never use it while asleep or driving. If you have any health condition, ask your doctor first.
Do the electrodes need replacing?
Yes, self-adhesive electrodes wear out over time. Replacements come in 45 × 45 mm, and a larger 50 × 100 mm size exists too.
What batteries does it use?
3 AAA batteries (LR03); replace all of them together when the battery symbol appears.

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, if it is unused, complete with its accessories and in its original packaging. If it arrives defective or different from your order, we replace it or refund it in full. Masks, tubing and any items that contact the patient cannot be returned once opened, for hygiene reasons. Return shipping is on us for a defect or a wrong item; otherwise the customer pays it, unless a free-shipping offer applies.
