What is the difference between the G3 B30VT and the RESmart GII Y-30T?

Both reach 30 hPa inspiratory pressure and both offer target tidal volume. The G3 is third-generation: it detects obstructive and central apnea where the Y-30T detects obstructive only, it is quieter (below 26 dB vs below 30), and its integrated humidifier keeps it at 1.7 kg. The Y-30T has a detachable humidifier and weighs 2.5 kg with it.

What do S/T mode and backup rate mean, and who sets them?

In S/T mode the device follows the patient's breathing and delivers a backup breath if no breath comes within a set time. On the G3 B30VT the backup rate is 3 to 40 breaths per minute. The treating physician sets the mode, pressures and rate; they should not be changed without them.

What happens during a power cut?

The device has a power-failure alarm. A power bank and a DC/DC converter can run it without mains power. These are optional accessories. If the patient needs the device for long periods, agree a power-cut plan with the doctor.

My nose or mouth feels dry. Does the device help?

The G3 B30VT has an integrated 360 mL humidifier with water pre-heating and humidity control, and it comes with heated tubing. If dryness continues, ask the doctor to review the settings.

Which mask should I use, and how often do I replace parts?

Mask type and size affect leaks and comfort; the doctor or respiratory therapist can help you choose. The device itself reminds you when to replace the mask, tube and filter, and genuine parts are available from us.

Can I return or exchange the device?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, if it is unused, complete with its accessories and in its original packaging. If it arrives defective or different from your order, we replace it or refund it in full. Masks, tubing and any items that contact the patient cannot be returned once opened, for hygiene reasons. Return shipping is on us for a defect or a wrong item; otherwise the customer pays it, unless a free-shipping offer applies.
