What is the difference between the Hospivac 350 and the Hospivac 400?

The 400 draws faster: 90 L/min vs 60, runs quieter (46.4 vs 51.7 dB(A)), is also used for liposuction and intensive care, and weighs 20 kg vs 13. Both reach -90 kPa, measure 46 × 42 × 85 cm, and come as the Full setup with two 5 L jars and a foot switch.

How does it differ from the Askir C30?

The Askir C30 is lighter (6.2 kg), with -80 kPa and 40 L/min, two 2 L jars and a foot switch, and no jar change-over. The Hospivac 350 is stronger, has larger jars and is built for a busy theatre.

Who sets the vacuum level?

The surgeon or medical team, according to the procedure. The unit has a vacuum regulator and indicator.

What protects the unit if a jar fills up?

The jar cover has an overflow system that stops fluid passing once it is full, followed by a 220 mL safety trap bottle, an antibacterial and hydrophobic filter, and 3 systems against reflux into the pump.

Can I return or exchange the device?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, if it is unused, complete with its accessories and in its original packaging. If it arrives defective or different from your order, we replace it or refund it in full. Masks, tubing and any items that contact the patient cannot be returned once opened, for hygiene reasons. Return shipping is on us for a defect or a wrong item; otherwise the customer pays it, unless a free-shipping offer applies.
